Ideal Closet

Love love this high waisted denim shorts, I saw a girl over the weekend wearing a pair, with black ballet flats, she looked amazing, but alas I don't think its a look I can pull, hence it's here in my "ideal" closet.

A South of France wedding

This wedding by Tec Petaja is absolutely stunning. Yes I said it again, a stunning wedding, but it is my dears. It's in the South of France, I know! The bride wears a floaty marvellous backless dress and her hair is the epitome of simple chic. And the bridesmaids couldn't be cutter! And people, check the lucite ghost chairs, amazing?

In my Kitchen: Chassity from Look Linger Love

Chassity of Look, Linger, Love is that special mix of perfect lady: perfect momma, super stylish and with a kitchen to die for. Check it out and tell me what you think, and while you are at it, say hi to Chassity and have a look around if you haven't already, you will love it there!

Eat in or out:  I definitely prefer to eat out.  The food is always better when someone else cooks and cleans for you.
Take away or restaurant:  At the restaurant, love to get dressed and be social.
I cook for ...  Really just my husband and me.  Our 19 month old daughter is still so young and picky, but that's starting to change.

Healthy food:  Avocados and chicken noodle soup.  Separate, of course ;)
Indulgence:  Cheeseburgers and really cheesy fries.
Weekend Meal:  Homemade pizza.
Date Dinner:  Usually a filet or shellfish.  And always an appetizer.
Quick fix:  One of the many meals we have stashed in our freezer.  When I cook I try to make one to freeze for later.
My kitchen is: Large, light, and my dream.

Favorite gadget(s):  Love my garlic press, pizza cutter, and toaster.
In the kitchen, I couldn't leave without:  Other than the obvious choices... I have to say I do love cooking on my gas stove!
My cooking bible: A plethora of online resources!

My must ingredients: Garlic, cheese, and bread.
Spicy or Mild:  Medium for sure.

My recipe:  White Chicken Chili - it WILL knock your socks off - it's that good.

1 T olive oil
4-5 cloves garlic
1 t ground cumin
1 1/2 t dried oregano
1/4 t cayenne
3 cups shredded cooked chicken
(2) 4 ounce cans chopped green chilis
(2) 16 ounce cans great northern beans (drained and rinsed)

Sunday Outfit

Weekend came, weekend went! How are you friends? I had a lovely time these 2 days, spent some time with Lauren from Aspiring Kennedy going up and down Regent Street for the Regent Tweet, had yummy food and some down time which is always very welcome. The weather was absolutely stunning on Sunday, hence my shorts, wooo hoo! It won't last long so I had to take full advantage, can you tell I haven't seen the sun in ages? I think my pale legs give me up! How was your weekend?

Eugenia's home in Formentera

The gorgeous Spanish top model, Eugenia Silva, has a stunning house in the balearic Formentera island. Formentera is across Ibiza, I have never been but have heard the very very best. Having an island house has always been my top dream and seeing this one made me remember it. I love how relaxed it is, the perfect house to walk around barefoot and enjoy incredible sunsets.

Lia Terni headpieces

I came across these beauties sometimes ago through the fantastic spanish e-magazine Atelier. I was completely and immediately smitten with those headpiece by Lia Terni for being delicate and classic, and having an edge at the same time. What about you, did you wear a headpiece for your big day? Would you consider it?

Ideal Closet

This week has been rainy and chilly in my neck of the woods so this outfit is what my dream closet would consist of these days. A perfect skinny, stripes and a fantastic figure hugging blazer. And jazz it all up with some luxurious accessories: a classic Cartier Love bangle, the perfectly buttery bag and a pair of fun moccs. What do you think?

Around the house

I'm not professional photographer (hold that, I have NO idea about photography, that's more accurate!) and even though I really like our apartment it has nothing nothing to do with some of the beautiful houses I see in the blogosphere or other blogger's homes. But, I still like it, because it really is us and makes us happy (a bit more storage would do wonders, oh to live in central London!)

Our bathroom is minuscule and very very white and here is where I stock all my daily beauty products.

And other bits and bops

Healthy food: quinoa

Date Dinner: If I was on a date I wouldn't be cooking. We'd go out to eat and I would be happy anywhere that had a good steak!
Quick fix: I love to make BLT's and Tuna Melts for lunch.

My kitchen is: small but perfect for me.
Favorite gadget(s): My pampered chef food dicer.

My cooking bible: Pintrest! I go on there all the time for great recipes now.
My must ingredients: anything with onion, green and red peppers!
Spicy or Mild: mild

My recipe: Perfect Lemon Bars

Crust

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp lemon zest
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
Filling
4 large eggs
1 1/3 cups sugar
1 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed and strained
Preheat oven to 350F. Line 9×9-inch baking pan with aluminum foil.
Make the crust. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, salt and lemon zest. Cut butter into chunks and add to flour mixture. Blend in with an electric mixer at low speed until mixture forms coarse, sandy crumbs. Pour into pan and press mixture down (with your fingers or the back of a spoon) into an even layer.
Bake for 16-19 minutes, until just lightly browned around the edges.
While crust is baking, make filling. Whisk together all filling ingredients in a large bowl.
When the crust comes out of the oven and is still hot, pour in filling mixture.
Bake for about 20 minutes, or until filling is set and does not jiggle when the pan is gently shaken.
Cool completely before slicing.
Top slices with confectioners’ sugar to serve.

Makes about 24 bars.

Sunday Outfit

I have to unashamedly admit that I copied this whole outfit from Asos, where I bought both main pieces. And I love it and have been wearing it most of the weekend. I love the shape of this trouser s and how incredibly comfortable they are, plus they are full of polka dots, hence difficult to beat!
How was your weekend lovelies, did you get to do anything exciting you want to share?
